[2025 Summer] ETRI and Daejeon Traffic Culture Institute Field Trip(June 20)

Dear KDI School Students,

 

We are pleased to announce that the next field trip for the 2025 Summer semesterwill be a visit to the Daejeon Traffic Culture Instituteand ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute).

 

At the Daejeon Traffic Culture Institute, you will learn about Korea’s initiatives in promoting safe, sustainable, and responsible transportation practices through immersive and interactive programs.

This visit will provide valuable insights into Korea’s efforts to foster traffic safety and civic awareness.

 

Following the visit to the Traffic Culture Institute, we will head to ETRI, located in the public research complex in the Daedeok area of Daejeon. ETRI is a national R&D institute dedicated to cutting-edge research and technological development in fields such as 5G+/6G, AI, AI semiconductors, the metaverse, cybersecurity, supercomputers, quantum computing, and more. This visit will offer a unique opportunity to explore one of Korea’s most advanced technology research institutions.

 

We believe this field trip will provide both academic enrichment and practical insights into Korea’s national innovation and public safety infrastructure.

 

We look forward to your participation!

 - Date & Time: June 20 (Fri.), 13:00 – 17:00 (The schedule is subject to change depending on the situation.)

 - Venue: ETRI(Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute), Daejeon Traffic Culture Institute

 - Participants: Up to 20 international students*

 - Participation fee: Free of charge

 - Remarks

  1) A penalty fee of 20,000 KRW will be charged for no-show on the day

  2) RSVP on MIS: Please write a comment on MIS if you have any food restrictions (halal, vegetarian, etc.)

13:10-14:30	Transportation Culture Program and Practical Training
14:30–14:40	Move to Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute(ETRI)
15:00-16:00	ETRI Overview and Guided Tour of the Institute
16:00–16:30	Travel back to KDIS

※ Notice

The lunchbox distribution location will be announced later via email.
Only students who have registered for the field trip on the designated date will be allowed to pick up a lunchbox.
(One lunchbox per person / No proxy pick-up allowed)

After eating, students will board the bus in front of the dormitory.

(If you pick up a lunchbox but do not attend the field trip, it will be considered a no-show.)

1. Go to http://mis.kdischool.ac.kr/

2. Log in using your ID and password

3. Click Apply for Events on the left side, under Training/Event

4. Choose Field Trip for Event Type and click the Query button

5. Click on ‘[2025 Summer] ETRI and Daejeon Traffic Culture Institute Field Trip(June 20)’

6. 1) Please write a comment if you have any dietary restrictions

2) Click the ‘Save’ button

7. To confirm your application, click on the Event Application Result under Training/Event
