At the 2025 Public Idea Contest for Marine and Fisheries Job Creation, held on February 11 at the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology (KIOST) in Yeongdo, Busan, Mr. Byungjun Park (2023 MPPM) and his teammate Mr. Yechan Noh (2023 MPPM) received the Excellence Award for their proposal, “Training Climate-Adaptive Aquaculture Technology Experts and Providing Consulting Support.”

The contest was co-hosted by the Korea Maritime Institute (KMI), KIOST, and the Busan Port Authority (BPA), and organized by News1 Korea, with support from the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the Korea Ocean Business Corporation. The event aimed to discover innovative public-driven ideas for job creation in the marine and fisheries sector and to foster “citizen-centered” employment policies.
