Professors Changkeun Lee and Young Jae Kim have completed a policy report for the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP). Coauthored with two Ph.D. alumni—Dr. Min Young Seo (Korea Energy Economics Institute) and Dr. Hyeyoung Woo (Korea Development Institute)—the report examines the state of green energy industries in select Latin American countries and explores avenues for collaboration with Korea. Focusing on Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico, it evaluates current policy directions and proposes strategies for effective cooperation. Written in Korean, the report is available on the KIEP website (in Korean).

Professor Changkeun Lee, in collaboration with Dr. Seungjoo Kim at the Korea Development Institute (KDI), has completed a policy report on Korea’s webtoon (digital comics) industry. The report analyzes the ecosystem of creators, content providers, and platforms and explores the impact of three major trends—team-based production, globalization, and the application of AI—on this rapidly growing sector. Based on these findings, it offers policy recommendations to ensure the industry’s continued competitiveness. Written in Korean, the report is available on the KDI website (in Korean). The work will also be presented at the Association for Cultural Economics International biannual conference in June.
