Professor Jeong Yeol Kim attended the 2026 Chicago School in Experimental Economics (CSEE), held at the University of Osaka from June 22 to June 26, 2026.

The CSEE is a one-week summer school established in 2023 by Professor John List of the University of Chicago. Each year, it brings together around 30 Ph.D.-level researchers from around the world to provide advanced training in the theory and practice of laboratory and field experiments. Participants also have the opportunity to present and discuss their recent research.

This year, more than 1,000 Ph.D. researchers applied for the program, and only 35 were selected. Professor Kim was honored to be among the selected participants.

Based on the knowledge and experience gained through the CSEE, Professor Kim plans to organize a reading group for students during the second half of this year. He also plans to incorporate these insights into his courses, particularly by introducing how experimental economics can be applied to the design and evaluation of public policies.
