Professor Jeong Yeol Kim attended the Asia-Pacific Economic Science Association (ESA) conference, the largest conference on experimental economics, held at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore from May 16-19. He presented a paper titled "The Impact of Multi-jurisdictional Leniency Programs on Collusion: An Experiment," which is supported by KDI School's research funding.

Additionally, he had a research meeting with Professor Charles Noussair, who is the current president of the association and the Ph.D. advisor of Professor Jeong Yeol Kim, during the conference.

This study addresses issues related to the jurisdiction of regulatory agencies, which is a major topic in competition policy in the US and EU. The research models the leniency program, a representative policy for detecting collusion, using game theory. It discusses issues related to the jurisdiction of leniency programs that arise when different countries have varying systems.

This research paper has also been invited for presentation at the monthly meeting of the American Bar Association's Cartel and Criminal Practice Committee on July 2.
