International conference by the center for conflic resolution

The KDI School of Public Policy and Management held “International conference on comparative studies in public conflict resolution”, with the sponsorship of the Office for Government Policy Coordination. The international conference was composed of 5 Sessions: Economic development and conflict resolution, Legal and institutional mechanisms for public conflict resolution mechanisms, Resolution of conflicts on development and the environment, Conflicts in labor and reform, and wrap-up discussion from September 22 to 23, 2005.

 This Conference gave a chance to share the views and expertise of the many distinguished guests, and to compare major conflicts that industrialized face today in the public, labor, and environmental sectors, as well as other sectors where the rise of conflicts are often seen. And this event also provided a great opportunity for academics, policy-makers, various interest groups, and the general public in Korea to learn in detail about the scope and the nature of the major conflicts that industrialized countries face today.

In this international conference, national and international distinguished scholars, experts, and attendances positively took part in discussion on the conflict resolution systems between developed countries and Korea.

 “The views and opinions discussed at this conference provided me with a great foundation for conflict resolution mechanisms.” an attendance said.
