President, KDI School Alumni Association[/caption]

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the KDI School, I would like to extend my appreciation to the faculty and staff members who have dedicated themselves to the development of the School and wish them, as well as the 1,500 alumni at home and abroad, good health.

Since its opening back in December 1997, the KDI School has become a firm root as an educational institution for economic policy and boosted Korea’s position in the global arena. The KDI School has been training human capital to lead the globalization of governmental organizations and civil sectors. Furthermore, the School has invited more than 400 competent elites from government and non-government sectors worldwide and has been offering them courses to learn about Korea’s economic success, experience Korean culture, and act as diplomatic bridges in the future.

I would like to say to our alumni that nothing is complete unless you are able to mold your efforts so they take shape. Each and every one of you has talent which guarantees abundant promises. I am sure that your experiences at the KDI School add more value to your talents and contribute to your self-esteem, which will then enable you to become an invaluable asset in your field. Therefore, I hope you continue to cooperate with the School to further develop both the KDI School and the individuals it cultivates.

Celebrating our 10th anniversary, I look forward to the active participation of all staff, government, and alumni for further growth of the KDI School.
