A Vision and Corporate Identity (CI) Proclamation Ceremony was held by KDI on December 21st, 2006. The new CI, modified for the first time in 35 years, will serve as an effective means of communication.

The new logo has the letters KDI printed in dark grey and has a “ㄱ” on the upper right side of KDI, and a “ㄴ” on the lower left. “ㄱ” and “ㄴ” are the first two characters of Hangeul, the Korean Alphabet. The color and font of the logo signifies KDI’s commitment to contributing to the development of Korea’s economy and to the society as a leading think tank in Korea.

Many distinguished guests including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Economy Kwon Oh-kyu participated in the ceremony. On his congratulatory remark, he said, “It is timely for the KDI to release its new vision and mission in that changes are prerequisite to provide the vision of Korea and to conduct researches by meeting the needs of the policy user, the people.”
