During the last week of May, KDI School had a privilege of hosting the International Masters Program in Practicing Managements (IMPM). IMPM is a graduate management development program which is co-founded by Henry Mintzberg. It is structured in five fortnightly modules, spread over 16 months moving around six different countries ; United Kingdom, Japan, Canada, India, Korea and France.

Different from an MBA program, IMPM is designed for senior managers who are, on average, over 35 years old and usually with work experience of at least 15 years. It focuses on mindsets, reflections and insights. Half of the class-time is for the participants to focus on their chosen agenda. The classes are designed to incorporate the perspectives of the participating managers .It uses their own experiences as the basis of the case-studies and encourages them to apply their insights to improve managerial skills.

This year, 30 managers from 7 different countries including  Canada, Japan, Sweden, France, Germany, India and Korea participated. It is a promising rise from 26 participants last year.
