International Food Festival – A gateway to the world of exotic cuisines

The International Food Festival is an annual event where students of the KDI School from different countries gather to present and share their unique food and culture. The event was held on October 8 in Lincoln Hall. Faculty members, staff, and guests from embassies were invited to enjoy the various foods prepared by the KDI School students. Students from twenty different countries were divided into nine groups by region and were asked to prepare four to five dishes, each representative of the typical foods eaten in their home countries. Guests were given a chance to sample cuisine, listen to music, and participate in cultural activities. A poll was conducted to find the guests’ favorite team. Each guest was given two votes: one for the best cuisine and the other for the best cultural presentation.

At the end of the event, Dean Sang-Moon Hahm presented the first prizes in both cuisine and cultural presentation to the team of students from Iraq.

Hiking Bukhan Mountain

After a lot of hard work, it was time for a break and what better way was there to relax than hiking Bukhan Mountain? Bukhan Mountain is one of the most popular places for the Seoulian to come hiking on the weekends.

This is because it is a great place to go for amazingly clean air and an escape from the busy city life.

With cooling winds and crisp autumn weather, the trip to Bukhan Mountain on November 7 was a highlight of student life at the KDI School. Five hours of hiking on Bukhan Mountain provided a feast for the eyes and left a lasting impression on the students.
