The KDI School of Public Policy and Management is currently in the process of selecting applicants for 2009 fall admission. Students selected so far include Cultural Policy scholarship students and scholarship students supported by the National Institute for Education Development (NIIED).

This year, three students will be welcomed by the KDI School as Cultural Policy scholarship students. The Cultural Policy scholarship is offered by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Korea through its “Cultural Partnership Initiative,” which aims to promote intercultural relations and awareness among Asian, Latin American, and African countries. Through this exchange program, select individuals who are either government officials or researchers in the areas of culture, arts and tourism in Asia or Africa are invited to KDI School to study in the MPP program.

Nine more students were also selected by the KDI School to become fellows of the Korean Government Scholarship Program, sponsored by the NIIED. This program aims to share Korea’s experiences in developing modern industrial and scientific knowledge with the international community.

On June 29, a number of the KDI School’s new NIIED students joined current KDI Students for an International Music Festival. At this event, the students had the chance to become acquainted with each other while sharing music from their home countries. The KDI School looks forward to welcoming the rest of its new 2009 fall semester students this coming September.
