From November 6th to 7th, approximately 52 students consisting of both international and Korean students participated in the annual Korea Field Research and Study. The activity is designed to provide students with an opportunity to learn about the social, cultural, and industrial aspects of Korea. During the first day, students visited two of Korea’s leading industries, Hyundai Motors Company and Hyundai Heavy Industries located in the country’s seventh largest metropolis, Ulsan. On their long journey to the city, students were able to enjoy the beautiful landscape as autumn arrives late in the southeastern part of the country. For their last day, students explored Gyeongju, which was the ancient city of Silla Dynasty from the 7th to 9th century. Finally, a brief tour of Sejong, the newly developing administrative city that is expected to be fully constructed in 2030, completed the field trip.
