KDI School Students' Exciting Plans for Summer Break Revealed

The summer break is approaching its midpoint and students at KDI School of are thinking about what to do with the precious few weeks left of their well-deserved time off. To help you make the most of your remaining summer break, we reached out to students to discover their summer break plans and found a variety of exciting destinations and activities on  their agenda. From exploring local attractions to embarking on international adventures, KDI School students are making the most of their summer break. Read on to learn more about their plans and get some inspiration for your own summer adventures.

1.Exploring the Charms of South Korea

A significant number of students have opted to travel within South Korea, taking the opportunity to explore the country's rich cultural heritage and breathtaking landscapes. Jeju Island emerged as a popular destination, known for its stunning natural beauty and picturesque landscapes. The island's pristine beaches, volcanic landscapes, and UNESCO World Heritage Sites have captured the hearts of many KDI School students.

Additionally, the bustling cities of Seoul and Busan have drawn the attention of students. Seoul, the capital of South Korea, offers a vibrant blend of tradition and modernity, with its historical landmarks, palaces, and thriving street food scene. On the other hand, Busan, a coastal city, entices visitors with its beautiful beaches, bustling markets, and vibrant cultural festivals. Some of the students highly recommended visiting Jeju island and trying seafood.

2.Embracing Academic Pursuits and Relaxation

For some students, the summer break serves as an opportunity to pursue academic research, engage in community service, or delve into personal interests. Students shared their plans to dedicate their time to academic research and studying, utilizing the break to delve deeper into their fields of interest and contribute to knowledge creation. One of the students shared the plan “to study more for my thesis”, which is also very motivational.

Of course, taking a well-deserved break from academic responsibilities is also on the agenda. Many students expressed their desire to relax and recharge during the summer break, indulging in leisure activities, exploring local attractions, and participating in cultural events or festivals. It's a time for students to rejuvenate themselves and immerse in the cultural richness of South Korea.

3. International Adventures

Some adventurous KDI School students have chosen to venture beyond South Korea's borders for their summer break; popular international destinations include Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, and the Philippines. These students seek to explore new cultures, experience different perspectives, and create lasting memories.

For those traveling to foreign countries, Southeast Asian destinations like Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines offer diverse landscapes, rich historical sites, and warm hospitality. Meanwhile, Japan stands out as a favorite destination, with its unique blend of ancient traditions and cutting-edge technology.
