I was first introduced to KDI School through a friend who was studying there, and she told me interesting stories that intrigued me. I decided to apply, as I was really interested in policy analysis and design and was looking to strengthen my management capabilities to become a high-quality employee in my organization.
My student experience at KDIS was very lively. The school offers a variety of classes, and I took 5 courses every semester, as I wanted to gain as much knowledge as I could. To maximize my potential, I applied for different roles throughout my course of study, such as class assistant, dormitory assistant, and various club representatives. In addition, I had the opportunity to participate in many school activities, including the Sports Festival, International Food Festival, and Song and Dance Festival. Now, I am an alumni representative of my home country, Malaysia.
Thanks to KDIS, I consider South Korea my second home. As a POSCO Asia Fellowship awardee, I can gain knowledge of Korean society and its economy and culture through various workshops and cultural programs. KDIS offered many student activities that filled my time there, and I was delighted to make so many unforgettable memories during my time at KDIS.
In addition, I have formed valuable connections with my fellow peers, and even now, there is continuous support and networking between us. Though many have returned to their home countries, there are all just a text away. I have been blessed to be in the right place at the right time.
