KDI School-POSCO Asia Fellowship Award Ceremony
On Feb. 17, 2006, the KDI School-POSCO Asia Fellowship Award Ceremony was held in Ambassador Hall, KDI School. 17, 2006. This event was arranged to award certificates of scholarship to awardees, and also to celebrate the Memorandum of Understanding between the KDI School and the POSCO TJ Park Foundation in supporting excellent students from Asian countries.
The POSCO Asia Fellowship is a scholarship program dedicated to inviting promising Asian government officials to Korea for them to enjoy opportunities to study and experience Korea''s society, culture, and economic development.
A total of 5 scholarships for this year were awarded to students from Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, and Cambodia. The POSCO Asia Fellowship Foundation has continued to expand the scope of its social contributions and hopes to provide additional Asian countries with more scholarships in the future. The awards included full tuition waivers for the duration of one’s study at the KDI School, and also amounts for living stipends from the POSCO TJ Park Foundation.
Scholarships were provided to promote mutual understanding and the strengthening of professional abilities. Knowledge sharing projects such as the POSCO Asia Fellowship hope to benefit the different societies, economies, and cultures of the world.
