The RAND-KDI Ph.D. Fellowship   The Pardee RAND Graduate School (PPRGS) has reserved a Fellowship for an outstanding candidate from KDI School of Public Policy and Management

KDI School of Public Policy and Management is pleased to announce the RAND-KDI Fellowship. The Fellowship will be awarded to an outstanding candidate nominated by the KDI School.

The Pardee RAND Graduate School (PRGS) is a component of the RAND Corporation, the world’s original and best-known “think-tank.” Academic and practical experiences are interconnected at PRGS. Coursework in such fields as economics, statistics, political science and the social sciences is complemented by part-time work as on RAND research projects.

The exposure to a range of policy areas, research methods, colleagues, and clients, allows most fellows to have accumulated the equivalent of at least two years of job experience in addition to their Ph.D. degrees.

To earn the full Fellowship, the recipient will be expected to perform a minimum number of days working on RAND projects each year (including the summers). During the first year, Fellows are engaged in the core courses, and are required to work a minimum of 60 days (or the equivalent of 12 weeks). In year 2 and thereafter, fellows are required to work a minimum of 155 days (or 31 weeks) per year.

The KDI School will be nominating one or two candidates for this Fellowship. All interested KDI School students and recent graduates must submit a copy of their completed application and accompanying document to Ms. Hyae Jin Jeong by Friday, December 14, 2007.
