Course Registration for 2007 Summer Semester

Please refer to the following information on Summer Intensive Term and Course Registration for 2007 Summer Semester.


1. Guide to Summer Intensive Courses

A. What is the Intensive Term?

- The Summer Intensive Term has been designed for enhancing quality of education through inviting top-notched and distinguished scholars world-wide, offering high quality courses to students.

- The Summer Intensive Term will consist of two of 6-week length period.

- The Summer Intensive Term will be based on two kinds of time format. Classes in morning session (from 8:30 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.) will meet 4 times a week for 1 hr. and 40 min. each and classes in the afternoon and evening will be opened 2 times a week for 3 hr. and 30 min.

- For intensive courses, totally 8 hours of lecture will be offered each week, and all coursework will be completed within the allotted 6 weeks.

- All daytime, evening and weekend courses including the language courses during Summer Semester will be offered as intensive courses except MFDI core courses (FDI Marketing and Promotion/ Project Evaluation and Analysis) and two courses (International Business Law/ Real Estate Investment and Management). These MFDI core courses and other two courses will follow the standard 12 weeks format same as Spring Semester.

B. Offering Period

□ 1st Half of Summer Semester: May 14(Mon.) ~ June 23(Sat.)
□ 2nd Half of Summer Semester: June 27(Mon.) ~ August 7(Tue.)
□ Weekly Schedule of Summer Intensive Courses: 6 Weeks per each
- 1st ~ 5th week : Lecture Schedule
- 6th Week : Reading Period & Examination

C. Minimum/Maximum Credit Application

□ Regular courses

- Students who are registered for Master’s programs must apply for minimum of 6 credits and a maximum of 12 credits of regular course in Summer Semester.
- However, the maximum credits student can earn from the regular course are limited 6 credits per each 1st half and 2nd half.

□ Foundation skill courses

1st Half
- Korean Language and Culture II: Sec.1
- English for Global Studies and Practice III (Public Speaking and Presentation): Sec. 1/ Sec. 2
- English for Global Studies and Practice III (International Business Communication): Sec.3

2nd Half
- Korean Language and Culture II: Sec.2
- English for Global Studies and Practice II: Sec. 1
- Chinese for Global Studies and Practice II: Sec.1
- English for Global Studies and Practice III (International Business Communication): Sec. 4/ Sec.5
* IBC classes will be offered again for Fall Semester for students who will not be able to register for IBC class this summer.

12 week- English Level III course for Evening MBA, MAM students
- English for Global Studies and Practice III (International Business Communication): Sec. 6/ Sec.7

2. Course Registration

□ Course Registration Period:
April 9(Mon. 10:00 am) ~ April 14(Sat. 11:00 pm)

Registration will be done through the KDI School website: http://www.kdischool.ac.kr.

''First Come, First Serve'' principle will be applied to the course registration.
However, the Evening MBA students will be given one day priority to register for the Evening MBA courses during the first day of the course registration. Other students: MPP, daytime MBA will be able to register for these courses from the second day of the course registration. (By April 10, 10:00am)

If you do not complete your spring semester course evaluations, you will not be able to register for the summer semester courses.

□ Course Add and Drop Period:
- May 14(Mon. 10:00 am) ~ May 15(Tue. 11:00 pm)
- June 27(Wed. 10:00 am) ~ June 28(Thurs. 11:00 pm)

3. Supervised Research Course (SRC)

Student who is planning to take Supervised Research Course(s) in the summer semester is requested to submit an application form, with course supervisor and program chair''s signature, and a specific proposal for supervised research as well to the Office of Academic and Student Affairs. For more information, please visit the following website.
