[Updated] 2008 Fall Semester Course Registration

Please refer to the following information for 2008 Fall Semester Course Registration.

1. Course Registration

□ Course Registration Period: July 28(Mon., 10:00 am) ~ Aug. 2(Sat., 11:00 pm)

Registration will be done through the KDI School website: KDI School of Public Policy and Management. COURSE REGISTRATION icon will be available under ’ACADEMIC CALENDAR’ on the main page from July 28, 2008

A ’First Come, First Serve’ policy will be applied.
However, Evening MBA students will be given one day priority registration for Evening MBA courses on the first day of course registration.. Other students ?MPP and daytime MBA. - will be able to register for these courses from the second day of course registration. (by July 29, 10:00 am)

If you do not submit your summer term (2nd half) course evaluations, you will not be able to register for fall semester courses. 

□ Course Add and Drop Period
- Sep. 17 (Wed., 10:00 am) ~ Sep. 20(Sat., 11:00 pm)

□ Course Information for 2008 Fall Semester
- For the Course Syllabus, please visit "e-Education"of KDI School Homepage. - 2008 Fall Semester Course Schedule: Please refer to the attached file. - 2008 Fall Semester Course List: Please refer to the attached file.      * Updated Information   "Evolution of the Korean Financial System" / Tue, & Thu., 12:40 ~ 14:20 --> The instructor of this course was not decided yet. We will announce instructor information later. Please refer to the attached files. "Labor Economics and Social Policy" / Tue. & Thu., 14:30 ~ 16:10 --> The course title of "Labor Economics and Policy" course for 2008 Fall semester has been changed to "Labor Economics and Social Policy".

 Also, the concentrations of this course are HR, PF, TD not only HR.

  * New English Level III Courses   ’Thesis Writing Workshop’ course (Sec. 1 & 2) ⇒ This course will be helpful for students, especially international students, who are planned to write thesis for graduation.   ’Public Speaking and Persuasion ’ course/ Saturday, 14:00~17:30 ⇒This class investigates the characteristics and techniques of orally based critical thought and expression through the organized and sophisticated presentation of public affairs information.     * FoundationSkill Courses   “Chinese for Global Studies and Practice I”/ Monday, 19:00 ~ 22:30 ⇒ This course will be offered for students who want to learn Chinese as one of Foundation Skill Courses It will be opened to all students who are interested in Chinese. However, it will not be counted for graduation requirement credits.   "Korean Language and Culture II" / Mon & Wed., 8:30 ~ 10:10 -->This course will be offered for students who did not take Korean Language and Culture II in Summer Semester. It will be opened to all students who are interested in Korean. However, it will not be counted for graduation requirement credits.   * MPP, MBA, MFDI students can register for MAM Core courses from Aug. 1, 15:00 (Friday). 

2. Supervised Research Course (SRC)    □ Application Period      1) Online Registration: July 28 (Mon.) ~ Aug. 2(Sat.)      2) Application Submission Period: Sep. 17 (Wed.) ~ Sep. 20 (Sat.)   Students planning to take Supervised Research Course(s) during the fall semester are required to submit an application form, with the course supervisor’s and program chair’s signature, and a specific proposal for supervised research, to the Office of Academic and Student Affairs   For more information, please contact Mr. LEE, Sung Youl ( sylee@kdischool.ac.kr / 02-3299-1259)
