KDI School Event: Namhansansung Hiking

This is the chance to enjoy Spring to the fullest; fresh air, new green leaves and flowers in full bloom will open out a breathtaking view before us. It will also provide us with an opportunity to see Korean cultural heritage, hiking up a mountain surrounded by fortress walls dating back to the 7th century.

 

Participants will be divided into small groups by each academic advisor. The time spent together outside the class will allow you to become better acquainted with your advisor and classmates.

 

Hikers will also enjoy the following advantages:

- Light Lunch: Gimbap, fruit, chocolate bar

- Korean Cuisine: Pajeon (Korean pancake with green onions), Dotori-Mook (acorn jelly), Makgeolli (raw rice wine), and so on

- Prize Money to the winners of a photo contest (Two groups with amazing photos will be chosen.)

 

 

Please note that we need to check the number of participants to properly prepare for the event, including ordering caps and lunches, arranging buses, etc.

08:50-09:00  Departure (from KAIST main gate)

10:00-12:00  Arrival at Namhansanseong / Hike to the summit

12:00-13:00  Casual Lunch

13:00-13:40  Hike down

13:40-15:00  Gathering

15:00-16:00  Return to the School

⑤ Click "Application for the School Events"

⑥ Click the name of event: "(Mt.) Namhansansung Hiking"

    and Click ”APPLY/MODIFY”

⑦ Check your information and fill in "Comments"

⑧ Click "Next(Save)"

⑨ Application Period: April 5 (Tue.) ~ April 10 (Sun.)
