I would like to inform you that there will be a course registration for year 2009 Spring Semester from Feb. 3. (Tuesday), 15:00.   Please see below for details and the attached the files about 2009 Spring Semester.     Information on Course Registration for 2009 Spring Semester   1. Registration Period: Feb. 3(Tue.) 15:00 ~ Feb. 7(Sat.) 23:00 ** "First-Come, First-Served"principle will be applied to course registration.   ** However, the Evening students will be given first priority to register for the Evening MBA courses during the first day of the course registration period. Other students, MPP and daytime MBA students can only register for these courses starting from the second day of the course registration period. (Feb. 4, 15:00). ** MAM courses will also be opened to MBA and MFDI students. However, first priority for course registration will be given to MAM students. MAM courses will be opened to MBA, MFDI students on Friday, 15:00p.m.   2. Course Description       - Course Description:  (Click "E-education"of KDI School Homepage)   4. Course Add and Drop Period: Feb. 9(Mon.), 10:00 ~ Feb. 14(Sat.), 23:00   5. Please be informed that there is a limitation on the number of students in each class in order to maximize the quality of learning.    6. Guide to Course Registration for Master’s First Year Students   ①  Every student must register for each core course from his/her Program.      - Marketing Management and Financial Accounting are not core courses. However First year MBA students are highly encouraged to take this course. This course will be divided into 2 sections: one will be offered in the day hours, and the other in the evening hours.   ②  English Courses      - All students must complete Language in Public Policy and Management (LPM) course unless waived. If waived, a student may take at least one English advanced course.     - English Courses will be counted towards graduation requirement credits for up to 9 credits.   ③ Korean Language and Culture
- International students who are enrolled in MPP and daytime MBA program must take Korean Language and Culture I in the Spring Semester and Korean Language and Culture I will be counted towards the 45 graduation requirement credits. Students who want to be waived from Korean Language and Culture are requested to apply to the Office of Academic and Student Affairs.     7. Attachment:     (1) Information for 2009 Course Registration     (2) 2009 Spring Semester Course Schedule     (3) 2009 Spring  Semester Course List   Before You Register for Courses   MPP Core Courses   1) Analysis of Market and Public Policy      - This course will be offered in the Spring Semester.    - This course will be divided into 4 sections, each of which will be completely the same as the other two sections in terms of contents to be taught.    - All MPP students must take either section 1, 2, 3 or 4 of this course during the registration period.    - Section 3 (Prof. PARK, Jin) will be offered for KOICA students because of their late arrival. Please take section 1,2 or 4.   2) Quantitative Methods      - This course will be offered in the Spring Semester.    - All MPP students are required to take either section 1, 2, 3 or 4 of Quantitative Methods.    - Section 1 (Prof. KIM, Taejong) will be offered for KOICA students because of their late arrival. Please take section 2,3 or 4.    - MPP students will be given first priority to register for MPP Core courses during the first day of the course registration period. Daytime MBA students can register for QM courses (Sec. 2, 3 and 4) from Feb. 4, 15:00 P.M.   MBA Core Courses   1) “Introduction to Financial Analysis        -  These courses will be offered in the Spring Semester. (Day: 2 sections/ Evening: 2 sections)      -    All MBA students must take this “Introduction to Financial Analysis” course.      -  This course will be divided into 4 sections: Section 1 & 2 will be offered in the day hours, and section 3 & 4 in the evening hours.   * Marketing Management and Financial Accounting        -  Marketing Management and Financial Accounting are not a core courses. However, first year MBA students are highly encouraged to take these classes.      -  This course will be divided into 2 sections: one will be offered in the day hours, and the other in the evening hours.   MFDI Core Courses   1) Understanding Foreign Direct Investment      -  This course will be offered in the Spring Semester. All MFDI students must take this course. 2) Introduction to Financial Analysis      -   This course will be offered in the Spring Semester. All MFDI students must take this course.   MAM Core Courses   1) Introduction to Investment Management (MCM001)      - This course will be offered in the Spring Semester. All MAM students must take this course. 2) Financial Instruments and Markets (MCM002)      - This course will be offered in the Spring Semester. All MAM students must take this course. 3) Financial Accounting (MCM011)      - This course will be offered in the Spring Semester. Please check the 2009 Spring Course List and Time Schedule.     2) Korean Language and Culture       - This course is specifically intended for international students. You will learn Korean culture and customs, as well as the Korean language.       - Korean Language and Culture I, II, and III are offered in the Spring, Summer and Fall Semester with 3 credit hours for each course.       - In Spring Semester, 3 sections will be only offered for KOICA students among 5 sections. Please check the 2009 Spring Course List and Time Schedule.        - All international students must take Korean Language and Culture Iin the Spring Semester. Starting in 2008, Korean Language and Culture I will be counted towards the 45 graduation requirement credits.
