1. The School opens the official application period twice a year (March and September but it’s subject to change) for students who want to change their dormitory rooms. However, room changes beyond this period are strictly limited. We are announcing the second change period of 2012, please read it carefully and apply for change if you want.

 

2. Every student who wishes to apply for a room change should fill out the “Request for Dormitory Room Change” form and submit it to Mr. Tae Sik Hahm(Joe) in person. (Room Number 214)  Application shall be received IN WRITING ONLY. It’s attached with this e-mail.

 

3. The Deadline is Sep. 18^th (Tuesday) and after deadline we don’t receive application forms anymore. Please note when you get permission for a room change, you have to move in the period specified by the student affairs. (from Sep. 20^th ~ 26^th ) -> Other than this period, you can’t change rooms even if you have obtained permission from KDI school. It’s a very strictly enforced regulation.

 

4. Students should bear the extra costs during room change, incurred by additional washing of bedding. The cost is KRW 20,000.

 

5. 2012 February, KDI school changed the dormitory fee system when you check ？ out. When you check out, we will calculate your last month dormitory fee with 10 days based system, which means

   1) 1~10 days -> 10 days fee

   2) 11~20days -> 20 days fee

   3) 21~ the month -> full month price.

Please refer this system and decide your check-out date.

 

Please note that if you wish to change your room or roommates, you must get agreements from all the related students (current and prospective roommates; please refer to the attached file). After getting their agreements, submit your application with their signatures. Make sure that the form fully explains your situation, since the school’s approval will solely depend on your application form.

 

Please understand that submitting a proper form does not guarantee a room change as it would be extremely difficult to accommodate every student’s need. For this reason, the School does not recommend applying for a change based on personal preference or a life style difference.

 

If a student in the on-campus dormitory wishes to move to an off-campus dormitory and vice versa, getting agreements from related parties is not a prerequisite. You may request a change by submitting the aforementioned form, and we will process the application should there be a vacancy.

6. You can also apply for single room dormitory in front of the school. For more information about this dormtiroy, please contact KDI school website. Application shall be received IN WRITING ONLY without the agreement.
