It is our pleasure to invite you to take part in the KDI School 2012 International Alumni Essay Contest.

 

The contest, held annually, gives KDI School alumni to present their prowess in their respective fields after their graduation from the KDI School. It will also serve as a source of great pride as well as a valuable source of information to our School, as it will give us an idea of how our alumni are applying and utilizing their education at the School to actual practice.

 

The winners of the contest will be invited to the 2012 Commencement and a Case Presentation session to present their cases to fellow KDI School students and alumni, to be held during December 6^th~7^th, 2012. The winners should plan their trip to include those two dates.

 

The details of the contest are as follows:

 

*  Participants

KDI School alumni (Both international and domestic)

*  Essays

Your activities and success stories in your field of work after graduation

-       How the education at the KDI School was useful in your work

-       Whether the education at the KDI School helped you to gain employment at a new workplace, or receive promotion in your current workplace

-       Cooperation programs or projects with institutions related to Korea

-       Other activities that were beneficial to the KDI School or KDI School Alumni Associations around the world

Please download the application form, which will be available for download at this site from Monday, October 8^th, 2012. We would greatly appreciate it if you could make your answers as detailed as possible.

*  Submission method and deadline

Please email the application form and your essay to kh_lim@kdischool.ac.kr from October 8^th to October 31^st, 2012.

*  Prizes

International Students

-       1^st place (1 person): KRW 300,000 OR roundtrip airfare

-       2^nd Place (2 people): KRW 200,000 OR up to KRW 3,000,000 towards roundtrip airfare

-       3^rd place (5 people): KRW 100,000 OR up to KRW 1,500,000 towards roundtrip airfare

 

Korean students

-       1^st place (1 person): KRW 300,000

-       2^nd Place (2 people): KRW 200,000

-       3^rd place (5 people): KRW 100,000

Accommodations will be provided free of charge by the School at the KDI School Dormitory

 

We urge our alumni to take part in this year’s contest to help the School keep track of our alumni’s activities after graduation, as well as to present success stories to current students to help instill pride at being part of the KDI School.
