The 2012 KDI School Commencement ceremony will be held on December 7th(Fri.) 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Those who are expected to graduate as well as those who are expected to complete their course requirements should attend the ceremony. This is the final event taking place at the school, and therefore a meaningful chance to create another lasting memory before you leave. We hope you will come and join the event. Thank you.

1. RSVP for the KDI School Commencement by Friday, November 23.

 Please send the following information to Ms. Youngju Kim, External Relations & Development Affairs at

youngju_kim@kdischool.ac.kr to ensure seating arrangements.

   * Please be informed that some of the students will attend the ceremony under the status of coursework completion, not as graduating students. For official graduation, you must meet the school’s graduation requirement.

 

 

2. Congratulatory Performance Sign Up

In addition, Congratulatory Performances are planned for the ceremony.  To make the event more meaningful, we encourage our students to participate in organizing the performances. If you would like to perform, please let us know by next Wednesday, November 16th.

To sign up for a Congratulatory Performance, fill out the attached form and send it to hjkim@kdischool.ac.kr

by next Friday, November 16^th.

* Approximately 10-20 minutes are assigned to the performance section.

**Due to time restrictions, only two or three teams will be chosen to perform.

 

 

3. Graduation Cap and Gown Pickups

Graduating Students must be seated in the KAIST Auditorium by 09:40 am on the commencement day. Therefore it is highly recommended to borrow a graduation cap and a gown one day before the event.

 

·   Who : All who receive all who receive a certificate must wear graduation cap and gown

·   When : Pickups are available on Dec.5 - Dec7, from 9am to 5pm

·   Where : Room 9301

·   How : Students must deposit ￦20,000, which will be refunded upon return

 

After the ceremony, you must return the graduation cap and gown to Room 9301 by Dec. 7, 5:00 p.m. in order to get your deposit back.

  

4. Certificate of graduation diplomas

Please take note that students who are conferred a degree will not find the graduation certificate inside their certificate case, but a message that reads as follows:

 

·   Students who are graduating can pick up their certificate upon the return of their gown.

·   Students who are expected to graduate in Jan. 2013 will receive their certificate via mail after January of 2013, upon successful completion of graduation requirements.

 

Those who live overseas and will be unable to attend the ceremony may receive their certificate via regular mail upon request, by contacting the Office of Academic and Student Affairs.

[Note]The invitation is provided under the assumption that you are expected to fulfill the graduation/completion requirement. If you do not complete the graduation/completion requirement as per the school''s rules by end of this fall semester, the invitation would not be valid.
