Dear Students,   We’d like to invite all members of the KDI School to 2011 Korea Field Research and Study (KFRS), which takes place from Aug. 9 (Tue) to Aug. 12 (Fri).   This 4-day field trip will be a good opportunity to witness the past and present of Korean development. By visiting industrial manufacturing sites such as Hyundai Motors, Hyundai Heavy Industry, and POSCO, you will see what laid the foundations of the current Korean economy. Visit to Dae-Deok R&D Special Zone will offer a chance to see the mecca of technological innovation in Korea and Science Technology Park. On the other hand, we will also visit Gyeongju city, the capital of the Shilla dynasty, and look around some historical sites rich with cultural heritage.   This field trip offers 1 credit as a field research course. Participants can obtain 1 credit upon submission of a KFRS report. This credit will be shown on your official transcript under the fall term but will not count towards the graduation requirements.   Though KFRS is designed for international students to improve their understanding about diverse aspects of Korea, Korean students are strongly recommended and welcome to join in as well.   Please see below details for your information.
