Application for CAMPUS Asia Program for Fall 2013

 

Please note that KDI School extends its application prieod for CAMPUS Asia program for 2013 Fall as below.

 

 

* Application for CAMPUS Asia is only for Korean Students and overseas Korean (재외동포)

* Participants will be provided with financial support for living expenses and dormitories from partner schools.

CAMPUS Asia program started from 2012. Students can take classes and earn credits and/or a degree in China and Japan, sponsored by an inter-governmental scholarship. Designed to promote cooperation among Asian universities, CAMPUS Asia will allow our students to obtain an additional master’s degree while enjoying the rare experience of living and studying in the three Northeast Asian countries.

 

▣ Partner Schools

1) Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Japan (Degree, Exchange)

2) School of Public Policy and Management (SPPM), Tsinghua University, China (Exchange only)

▣ Qualification for Candidates

1) At least 24 credits completed including core courses (by the time of application for Spring Students)

      At least 24 credits completing including core courses (by the time of departure for Fall Students)

2) CGPA of at least 3.5 or above (by the time of application)

3) TOEFL: CBT 213, iBT 79~80, IELTS 6.0 or above (by the time of application)

4) Completion of three terms (five terms for the part-time students) at KDI School (by the time of departure)

 

▣Eligibility Requirements for Application

1) Students should apply for both partner schools when they submit the application.

2) Students who pursue degree program will be considered with first priority then just exchange program applicants.

3) However, if there is a vacancy, exchange program applicants for both partner school will be considered.

 

▣ Application Period: April 1 (Mon.) ~ April 26 (Fri.), 2013

- Please submit the complete documents to the Student Affairs Division (Rm. 8214).

 

▣ Program Structure

1) Option 1 :Degree + Exchange

- Degree program at GRIPS (From Oct. 2013 to Sep. 2014)

- Exchange program at Tsinghua (From Sep. 2014 to Dec. 2014)

2) Option 2 :Exchange + Exchange

- Exchange program at Tsinghua (From Sep. 2013 to Jan. 2014)

-Exchange program at GRIPS (From Feb. 2014 to July 2014)

* Or GRIPS(Oct. 2014 ~ Jan. 2014) first then Tsinghua(Feb. 2014 ~ July 2014)

3) Option 3 :Degree (only GRIPS)

- Degree program at GRIPS (From Oct. 2013 to Sep. 2014)

4) Option 4 :Exchange (only one institute)

- Exchange program at GRIPS or Tsinghua (One semester up to 1 year)

* Option1 will be considered with first priority

▣ Benefits

1) Credits earned from the partner university can be transferred if the program chair recognizes the equivalency of the courses. (Maximum 9 Credits)

2) No extra tuition will be charged for partner schools.

3) Participants will be provided with financial support for living expenses and free dormitories from partner schools.

 

▣ Remarks

1) Students who satisfy the KDI School’s internal requirements will be eligible to apply to the partner school. Once students receive admission from the partner school, they will be considered as CAMPUS Asia program students for the upcoming semester.

2) If you change your decision after the final selection, you will be limited in your opportunities for future international program.
