Dear KDIS Students,
Launch and open a New Student Club!!!
Student Club application for 2016 Fall Semester is now open! There are 5 more slots to create new clubs for this semester. Via student clubs the School aims to provide students with ample opportunities to affiliate with other students through various social, academic and/or athletic activities.
Students are invited to organize and get involved in one or more of the student clubs as they desire, and enjoy opportunities to meet and interact with fellow students. Registered clubs will receive financial support from the School. Please read the instructions below for details.
1. How many clubs can be approved?
- 5 Clubs will be chosen after we review your application package. Below are the lists of the clubs that will be likely to be opened in 2016 fall semester. HOWEVER, these clubs need to be “re-registered” with the club registration form to continue your club. But, the Student Affairs Division will give you the priority and save the spot until the deadline of Sep 19th(Mon).

For those who have already opened the club in last summer semester(2016) will have to “re-register” in order to be officially approved from the school.
2. What are the requirements to establish a club?
- A club should contain more than 10 members from different countries including one faculty advisor.
- A club should first ask a faculty advisor if he/she is already in charge of another student club. If your club's faculty advisor is already involved in too many clubs, we may ask your club to change.
- It is recommended to have members of various backgrounds.
- A club should submit an activity plan for the summer semester.
- It is recommended that a club should arrange at least three activities per semester.
3. How does financial support work?
- Financial support eligibility will be determined after reviewing each club’s activity plans.
- After the review, KDI School will support a maximum of KRW 200,000 at the end of every semester.
- The club representative should submit a Club Activity Report including financial details and “Original receipts”, to be allotted supporting budget from the school. (Electronic receipts are available only.)
- A club should share all activity plans and results (pictures, reports etc.) not only with club members but with all school members by posting it on the “Club Board” of the KDI School website to be eligible for financial support.
- A club should open its activities to all school members to encourage participation of non-club members.
4. When can I apply and what's the deadline to register for a new student club?
- The application should be submitted by Sep. 19th (Mon). Please download and fill out the Club Registration Form from attached file, and submit it to Ms. Hayoung Lee, Student Affairs Division(S247)
5. How can I join the club?
- After review of applications, the club lists and representatives for 2016 Fall will be announced via e-mail and put up on the school website. You can directly contact each representative through e-mail.
