Distancing rules to be extended for 3 more weeks (~Feb 6)

South Korea will extend tougher social distancing rules for three(3) more weeks, amid concerns over a looming wave of the highly contagious Omicron coronavirus variant especially ahead of the Lunar New Year holidays.

 

1. Date and Period: Until Sunday, February 6, 2022
2. Private Gatherings Restriction: Up to six(6) people*nationwide*
※ Non-vaccinated people can use restaurants and cafes only alone. 
However, when non-vaccinated person is confirmed for negative PCR test result, they can use those facilities with other people.
※ 9 p.m. curfews for restaurants, cafes and bars will continue.
3. Vaccine Pass
The government has also stated that the use of vaccination passes will be expanded to restaurants, cafes, department stores, and major supermarkets. 
In this regard, you must present a vaccination certificate or application, such as Coov, Naver, or Kakao, to enter.
