[2024 Spring] K-Water Field Trip (April 12th)

 

Dear KDI School Students,

 

We are delighted to inform you that the last field trip for the 2024 Spring semester will be at K-water. Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water), established in 1967, is responsible for developing and managing water resources. This field trip would be an opportunity to get a glimpse of half a century’s worth of accumulated water management know-how in Korea, and how it has played a key role in Korean economic growth.

 

- Date & Time: April 12(Fri.), 09:20 – 18:00

- Venue: K-water HRD Institute, HQ and Daecheong Dam

- Participants: Up to 20 international students* 

* participants of the previous K-water field trips are ineligible

** Up to 2-3 students for each country will be allowed to participate in the field trip to ensure an equal share of the limited seats for the field trip. Additionally, each student may attend the field trip a maximum of twice per semester(except for the new students sejong city field trip) to make sure everyone has a fair chance to join the school field trip, which means that the registration status is subject to change. We hope for your kind understanding on this matter :)

- Participation fee: free of charge

- Remarks

1) A penalty fee of 20,000 KRW will be charged for no-show on the day

2) RSVP on MIS: Please write a comment on MIS if you have any food restrictions(halal, vegetarian, etc.)

Lunch & Travel to K-water Headquarter

13:30 – 14:00

Site visit to Integrated Water Resources Management Center

14:00 – 14:30

Site visit to Drought Education & Experience Zone

14:30 – 15:00

Site visit to National Groundwater Information Center

15:00 – 15:30

Travel to Daecheong Dam

15:30 – 17:30

Introduction of Daecheong Dam and site visit to Water Culture Center

17:30 – 18:00

Travel back to KDIS

 

- Application Date: April 2(Tue.) - 8(Mon.) on MIS

* Cancellation must be made by April 8(Mon.)

1. Go to http://mis.kdischool.ac.kr/

2. Log in using your ID and password

3. Click Apply for Events on the left side, under Training/Event

4. Choose Field Trip for Event Type and click the Query button

5. Click on ‘[2024 Spring] K-Water Field Trip’

6. 1) Please write a comment if you have any dietary restrictions

2) Click the ‘Save’ button

7. To confirm your application, click on the Event Application Result under Training/Event
