- Leave of Absence -

Article 43, School Regulations & Article 19, School Enforcement Regulations

# Content

1. Definition
: A leave of absence may be granted to students who must interrupt their studies due to personal circumstances (e.g. sickness or other unavoidable circumstances)
2. Application period
: During the registration period at the beginning of each term
* Fall Term Tuition Payment July 21 (Mon.)~July 25 (Fri.), 2003
3. Maximum duration of a leave of absence
: 3 terms
4. Procedure
a. Completing the Application: Download an application for leave of absence from the school website or drop by the office of Academic and Student Affairs to pick one up.
After completing the application, obtain approval from your academic advisor, program chair and the school''s librarian.
b. Submitting the Application: All completed applications for a leave of absence must be delivered to the Office of Academic & Student Affairs.
c. Leave of absence application is approved or denied.
5. In the event that a student returning from a leave of absence does not complete reinstatement procedures and register for coursework within the allotted time period, that student will be withdrawn from the School automatically, in accordance with School regulations.

# Additional details

1. Students may not take a leave of absence during their first term at the School.
2. Students wishing to extend their leave of absence must submit an additional application for another leave of absence before the current one expires.
3. Students who do not return to the School following their leave of absence, but have not applied for a leave of absence extension, shall be withdrawn from the School automatically, in accordance with School regulations.

1. Definition
: Students wishing to re-enroll after completing their leave of absence period may apply for reinstatement
2. Application period
: During the registration period at the beginning of each term
* Fall Term Tuition Payment July 21(Mon.)~July 25(Fri.), 2003
3. Procedure:
a. Completing the Application: Download an application for reinstatement from the school website or drop by the office of Academic and Student Affairs to pick one up.
After completing the application, obtain approval from your academic advisor and program chair.
b. Submitting the Application: All completed applications for reinstatement must be delivered to the Office of Academic & Student Affairs.
c. Reinstatement application is approved or denied.
d. Tuition payment : During registration period
e. Curriculum and signing up for courses : During the course registration period
