▣ Title: “Opportunities and Challenges in Transitional Economies”, Leipzig and Prague

▣ Period: May 14-28, 2003

This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to do business in transitional economies. This will be the 5th edition of HHL’s summer program. Participants in the first four years judged it a great success. Leipzig’s excellent geographic location, the research interests of our faculty members, and Germany’s experiences since its reunification, enables us to offer a course featuring many practical examples form Central and Eastern Europe.

Target group of this course is graduate business students and PhD-Students. The average age of past participants was 29. The course consists of approx.80 hours in-class work, including excursions. For the preparatory work we estimate an additional 15-20 hours. Students desiring to obtain credit for this course will be required to take a written exam at the end. Language of instruction is English.

HHL would like to invite one or two of our students to attend this course. Tuition fee is US$2,500. In view of our cooperation tuition fee for your students will be waived. They will only have to cover their living expenses in Germany as well as their personal travel costs.
