Course Registration for 2003 Spring Term

1. Registration Period: Feb. 13(Thu.) 15:00 ~ Feb. 15(Midnight)

2. Course Add and Drop Period: Feb. 17, 10:00 ~ Feb. 21, 17:00

4. Guide to Course Registration for Master’s First Year Students

< MPP Core Courses >

1) Economic Analysis of Public Policy

- This course will be offered in the spring term.
- This course will be divided into 2 sections, each of which will be completely the same as the other two sections in terms of contents to be taught.
- All MPP students must take either section 1 or 2 of this course during the registration period.
- Maximum capacity of each section for Economic Analysis is 40 persons.


2) Quantitative Method

- This course will be offered in the spring term.
- All MPP students are required to take either section 1,2 or 3 of Quantitative Methods. FB students are highly encouraged to take the section 3.
- Notice that Section 3 is an advanced section. Students with no prior exposure to statistics are encouraged to take Section 1 or 2.

3) Democracy, Ethics, and Public Policy

- This course will be offered in the summer term
- All MPP students must take either section 1 or 2 of this course.

< MBA Core Courses >

1) Accounting and Finance

- All MBA students must take either section 1 or 2 of Accounting and Finance. This course will be divided into 2 sections: one will be offered in the day hours, and the other in the evening hours.

2) Marketing Management

- All MBA students must take either section 1 or 2 of Marketing Management. This course will be divided into 2 sections: one will be offered at day hours, and the other at evening hours.

< Foundation Skills Courses >

1) English for Global Studies and Practice Courses
All students must complete English Level 1. 2. 3., unless they are waived. You must register for an English course according to the level at which you will be placed following the results of the English Placement test. Please note, however, that English Level 3 will only be offered in the summer term. (The results of the English Placement will be announced on KDI School’s Notice Board after the test.)

2) Information Technology for Global Studies and Practice Course
All students must register for this course, unless you already took it during the Winter Preliminary Term or you got waived. There will be two sections of this course in the Spring Term. Section 1 will begin from Feb. 17 to March 21. Section 2 will begin from March 24 to April 25. If you are accustomed to using Excel, PowerPoint programs and want to be waived from this course, you may apply for a waiver. To apply, please contact Mr. Gi-Sang Kim(3299-1258/ kgshope@kdischool.ac.kr) at the Office of Academic and Student Affairs.

3) Korean Language and Culture1
All international students must take Korean Language and Culture I in the Spring Term. Students who want to be waived from Korean Language and Culture I are requested to apply to the Office of Academic and Student Affairs during the Course Add and Drop period (Feb. 17~Feb 21). The staff in charge of these affairs is Mr. Gi-Sang Kim.
