Dear all Students,

 

Greetings!

 

We are pleased to announce that the 13^th annual International Food Festival is coming up! It is one of the largest events for the School community where students share their ethnic cuisine and culture. The event will consist of preparing and savoring a variety of menus. Come and join us to experience the delightful taste of various cuisines from different countries! This is a KDI School Tradition you will NOT want to miss!

 

★ Date: November 9^th (Fri.)

★ Time: 15:00~17:30 (Food Tasting), (Evaluation and Award Ceremony)

★ Venue: 7th floor (Lincoln Hall & Chun Ji Lounge)

 

We encourage students to share various dishes from home, and to learn more about different cultures in the process.

 

We are going to have 9 teams assigned to each table. We recommend every team to include students from more than 2 countries plus 2 Korean students. (Each team is expected to have around 10 students.)

 

To support your participation, we will provide a grant for each team (to buy food and ingredients). We will also provide you with the necessary utensils, spoons & chopsticks, etc.

 

Of course no one will go home empty handed!! While everyone will receive a prize the top 5 teams will be given a special reward. Soft drinks and light refreshments will be served by the School as well, to complement the food made in the festival.

 

If you want to participate in the event, please team up with your friends and select a representative. The representative should fill out the participants list (please refer to the attached file) and send it to Ms. Nari Kim (nr_kim@kdischool.ac.kr) by Oct 22 (Mon).

 

This is no doubt a special occasion to promote and celebrate the diversity of the KDI School community. Also, we hope the festival will help you socialize more with other students as well as making another fond memory with what little time left for the year 2012. Aside from the KDI School family, guests from foreign embassies and other government agencies may be joining us for the special hours. You are also welcome to invite your friends.

 

Your active participation and support is essential to make the festival fun and exciting. Please join and make your own history with lively participation!

 

We will re-announce detailed information shortly and hold a pre-discussion session with representative of each team. Please stay tuned for a future announcement.
