Buddy Program for the summer semester

 

 

* The program matches international students and Korean students on a one-to-one basis. 

 

 

The KDI School would like to offer the Buddy Program to promote interaction and friendship between international students and Korean students.

 

The program will match international students and Korean students on a one-to-one basis. Through this exchange, we hope to allow international students the opportunity not only to receive guidance and support in adjusting to the Korean community but also to make Korean friends. We believe it will also provide a mutually beneficial experience for Korean students in acquiring a more diversified mentality and enhancing their communication skills.

 

 

1.      For those students who interested in newly joining the buddy program!

 

Students interested in newly joining the Buddy Program for the summer semester need to apply through the School website by June 5^th via school MIS system. When the matching process is completed after the application period, results will be sent via email en bloc.

 

 

▶ How to apply for the Buddy Program ◀

1. Visit, “mis.kdischool.ac.kr”

2. Click MIS under KDI School Service

3. Log on using your ID and password

4. Click Apply for Events on the left side, below Training/Event

5. Click the Query button

6. Go to [Networking] 2014 Summer Buddy Program and Click APPLY/MODIFY

7. The list of the events would show up.

(Click on the “[Networking] 2014 Summer Buddy Program” and “Save”)

8. For the confirmation, click on the Event Application result under the Training/Event

Application Deadline: June 5^th , 2014

 

*NOTE

● Student Affairs Division will match you with a Buddy according to your preferences.

● If there aren’t enough participants you might not have a buddy even though you apply for the program.

● If you participate in this program, you have to submit buddy report at the end of the semester with photos.

 

Excellent reports will be presented with a small gift after review.

 

 

 

2. 2.     For those students who already have buddy!

 

Second mission that you and your buddy (or partners) have to do for the summer semester!

 

Here is a list of mission that you and your buddy/ buddies should complete (Very simple and easy!).

 

1. Take at least one picture with your buddy or buddies, taken at the place where KDI students visit frequently, such as at the school cafeteria, student lounge, and in front of library.

 

2. Find out at least one fun fact about your buddy/buddies (i.e. favorite sports, favorite book, and favorite subject of classes, favorite places etc….)

 

* The representative of each buddy team (Korean students) needs to write the buddy mission report. THE DEADLINE IS July 31 2014!
