The Gimje Horizon Festival (October 10th ~ 11th)

Dear International Students,

KDI School would like to inform all international students that they are invited as first priority guests to “Gimje Horizon Festival”, one of the most famous annual traditional and cultural festivals, hosted by Gimje City and the International Friendship Club (IFC), is a non-profit organization.

With a theme of "One Global! One Mind! ”, the 17th Gimje Horizon Festival will be held in Gimje City Jeollabukdo. As the birthplace of Korean rice farming culture, Gimje has been in the spotlight for showing off Byeongoljae, which is the best irrigation facility made in year 330 by King Biryou in Baekjae dynasty, 1700 years ago.

We can guarantee that you will have a lot of fun in this festival. There are different types of traditional games such as Rice Harvest Experience, Traditional Folk Customs Experience, Straw Handicrafts Experience, Korean Traditional Wedding and so on. Even though, the trip is only two days and one night, we hope that you will enjoy the festival. don't miss the opportunity to participate in this amazing event, the 17th Gimje Horizon Festival.
