Dear KDIS Students,

 

It is my pleasure to inform you of the cultural event field trip to the Korean Folk Village! This field trip will be a great opportunity for all of you to learn about the history of Korea, and many facets of its traditional culture. Since the program will be organized with various activities, we look forward to your active participation.

 

<Korean Folk Village>

1. Date: March 30th, Friday

2. Time: 8:50 AM ~ 6:00 PM

3. Venue: Korean Folk Village, Gyeonggi-do

4. Participants: Maximum 84 (All KDIS International & Korean Students)

  - First come, first served.

5. Participation Fee: KRW 15,000 (Entrance Fee)

  - Fee will be deducted from your monthly stipend.

  - If you are not receiving the monthly stipend from the school, you will be asked to transfer the money to the school bank account.

  - There will be a 50% discount if you mention that you are participating with your Buddy.

13:00– 14:00	Experience Program	Korean Paper Art or Korean Archery
14:00– 16:00	Sightseeing and Free time	Farmers’ Music & Dance, Acrobatics on a Tightrope, and Horse Riding Acrobatics
16:00– 18:00	Return to KDI School

7. Lunch Menu

Menu will be either a bowl of rice topped with bulgogi and mushroom, and bulgogi in a dish, OR vegetable bibimbab, and meatless Korean pancakes. Please refer to the images on the Event notice, found via the school homepage. Choose All or Vegetarian in the Food Menu in the MIS.

8. Experience Program

Please choose Korean Paper Art or Korean Archery and write your choice in the Comments field.

1. Go to http://mis.kdischool.ac.kr/

2. Log in using your ID and password

3. Click Apply for Events on the left side, under Training/Event

4. Choose Field Trip for Event Type and click the Query button

5. Click [Field Trip] Korean Follk Village

6. 1) Choose ‘Korean Paper Art’ or ‘Korean Archery’ for the experience program, and write your choice in the Comments field

    2) Choose Vegetarian for the Food Menu if you are a vegetarian

    3) If you are participating with your Buddy, please leave a comment with your Buddy’s name in the Comments field

    4) Click the Save button

7. For the confirmation, click on the Event Application Result under Training/Event

 

Application Period: March 13th ~ March 21st

  - You can cancel your application up until March 21st.

  - Please note that you will be charged of KRW 20,000 if you do not show up on the day when you were successfully registered.

 

Please check your timetable before signing up for the event since your absence from any of your classes will NOT be excused.
