[Summer Semester, 2016] Course Add & Drop Period Information

Dear Students,

 

I'd like to remind you that the starting day for Summer semester is next Monday(May 9th).

Also, be reminded that the first class for the Saturday courses will be starting from May 21 as 

May 14th is the national holiday-Buddha's birthday- and the make-up class will be arranged by the professor later).

Please be informed of the course add and drop period for the summer semester as below. 

 

□ Course Add and Drop Period (Online) □

May 9(Mon) 10:00 am ~ May 11(Wed) 22:00 pm  :  All summer courses(1st,2nd,12weeks)

May 9(Mon) 10:00 am ~ May 14(Sat)  22:00 pm   :  12 week courses only

June 20(Mon) 10:00 am ~ June 22(Wed) 22:00 pm  : 2nd session courses only

- Any request for the course registration after the course add and drop period will NOT be accepted.

 

□ Course Drop & Withdrawal Period (Offline) □

  1st  Half  Course 12 Weeks Course 2nd Half Course
Drop ~ May 24(Tue) ~   June 11(Sat) ~ July 5(Tue)
Withdrawal ~ by June 10(Fri) ~ July 16(Sat) ~ July 22(Fri)

 

 If you would like to drop the course, please submit attached form with the professor's signature by the deadline.

Any request after the period will not be accepted.

Course Drop (with form): Should the student decide to drop a course within the first five weeks after classes begin, he/she may fill out the course drop form and submit it to the Academic Affairs Division to drop a course. In this case, the cancellation will not appear on the official transcript.

Course Withdrawal (with form): Should the student decide to withdraw from a class after the first five weeks but within the first ten weeks after classes begin, he/she may fill out the withdrawal form and submit it to the Academic Affairs Division to withdraw from the class. In this case, a “W” will appear on the official transcript; however, it will not affect the GPA

 

※  Maintaining Admission Scholarships

To continue to receive the scholarship award, it is necessary to meet the respective GPA criteria spelled out in your scholarship certificate. Stated below are the course requirements that are relevant to every Admission Scholarship recipient. Please refer to your admission scholarship conditions for details.

1) Full-time students must take a minimum of 9 credits of regular courses* per semester except for the last one (the 4th semester). These 9 credits should include at least 3 credits from daytime courses.

2) Part-time students must take a minimum of 6 credits of regular courses per semester, except for the last (6th) semester.

*Regular course is a course that counted as a graduation requirement
