In line with the 50th anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the KDIS ASEAN Forum was established as the newest Student Forum on campus this Fall 2017. To kick off its activities, a Welcome Assembly and Orientation was held wherein students from the ASEAN member countries introduced each other. There was also a Presentation of Tourism campaigns in keeping with the Visit ASEAN Year. This November, ASEAN-Korea Center Secretary-General and Ambassador Kim Young-sun gave a Special Lecture on "ASEAN-Korea Relations: Building a Forward-Looking Partnership." The members of the Forum also actively participated during the International Food Festival to showcase the different cuisines of the region. The Executive Committee held regular Planning Sessions in order to build the foundation for future activities of the Forum.

As the ASEAN begins a new chapter in its history, the members of the KDIS ASEAN Forum looks forward to strengthening people-to-people connection at the KDI School campus.
