[2024 Summer] ETRI & Pottery Experience Field Trip (June. 21st)

Dear KDI School Students,

We are delighted to inform you that our next field trip for the 2024 Summer semester will be at ETRI(Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) & Pottery Experience. ETRI, located in the public research complex in the Daedeok area in Daejeon, is a public R&D institute. Its purpose is to achieve strategic R&D, commercialization, performance diffusion, and startup incubation, which ultimately contribute to national economic growth. ETRI focuses on original technologies in various areas such as 5G+/6G, AI·SW, AI semiconductors, system semiconductors, the metaverse, cybersecurity, supercomputers, quantum computers, and material/device technology. Additionally, we will be having a 2-hour pottery class. Pottery offers relaxing effects due to its rhythmic and slow movements during the process. Under the guidance of an experienced artisan, you will learn the hand-building technique and create your own unique piece.  

We believe that this field trip will provide a great opportunity to experience one of Korea's significant national R&D institutes and also enjoy a moment of healing through our pottery experience.

- Date & Time: June 21(Fri.), 09:20 – 17:00

- Venue: (Daejeon) ETRI(Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute), Hanulkang Atelier

- Participants: Up to 27 international students* 

* Up to 3-4 students for each country will be allowed to participate in the field trip to ensure an equal share of the limited seats for the field trip.

- Participation fee: free of charge

- Remarks

1) A penalty fee of 20,000 KRW will be charged for no-show on the day

2) RSVP on MIS: Please write a comment on MIS if you have any food restrictions(halal, vegetarian, etc.)

* Cancellation must be made by June 16(Sun.)

1. Go to http://mis.kdischool.ac.kr/

2. Log in using your ID and password

3. Click Apply for Events on the left side, under Training/Event

4. Choose Field Trip for Event Type and click the Query button

5. Click on ‘[2024 Summer] ETRI & Pottery Experience Field Trip (June. 21st)’

6. 1) Please write a comment on MIS if you have any food restrictions(halal, vegetarian, etc.)

2) Click the ‘Save’ button

7. To confirm your application, click on the Event Application Result under Training/Event
