Additional Notice:

As it is informed in the notice, the student can participate either as an individual or in a team. IT IS NOT MANDATORY TO COMPOSE A TEAM TO PARTICIPATE IN THE WORKSHOP. When students participate in a team with a SOLID PROJECT to work on, which can be developed to an impact evaluation design, we give priority to those teams. Please note that this does not mean that like-minded students compose a team and apply, they receive priority.

Recruitment of Student Participants for

Regional Impact Evaluation Workshop

May 5th ~ 9th, Seoul, Korea

 

In partnership with the World Bank, KDI School holds the Regional Impact Evaluation Workshop ‘Evaluating the Impact of Development Programs: Turning Promises into Evidence’ in Seoul, Korea, from May 5thto 9th , 2014, at the Grand Ambassador Hotel. The Impact Evaluation Lab of the KDI School is happy to announce that we recruit KDI School students to participate, either individually or in a team, in the Workshop where they can learn the use of impact evaluation to inform policy making and program design by a team of top-tier experts and practitioners. Please note that team participants will be given a priority in the selection procedure. Please see below for the recruitment details and attachment for information about the workshop in greater detail.

 

Recruitment Details

      No. of recruitments: appx. 30 students (Due to the limited number of seats open to KDI School students, there will be a competitive selection procedure.)

      Eligibility:

§  Those who are interested in scientific evaluation of development programs and seek career in impact evaluation

§  Those who can participate for the entire duration of the workshop ( Full participation is mandatory to receive the WB-KDIS Joint certificate. Since it is a great privilege to involve with these top-tier scholars and experts, and it is usually very competitive to take part, please be mindful of your responsibilities as a sincere and passionate participant.)

      How to Apply:

For Individual Participants

1)    Visit "mis.kdischool.ac.kr"

2)    Click MIS under KDI School Service

3)    Log on using your ID and password

4)    Click Apply for Events on the left side, below Training/Event

5)    Select Event Type as “Domestic Training” and Click the Query button

6)    The list of the events would show up. Click on the “WB-KDIS Regional Impact Evaluation Workshop”, fill out the form below and “Save”

7)    For the confirmation, click on the Event Application result under the Training/Event

For Group Participants

1) Make up a group of up to 7 students who will work on a same project

2 Follow the instruction from 1) to 8) above for the individual participants

3)Fill out the Study Proposal (Annex 1) and submit to Ms. JoungHyun Kim at jh-kim@kdischool.ac.kr

      Application Deadline: April 6th (Sunday) 6:00 P.M.

     Transportation from and to the Workshop Venue and lunch will be provided.
