Dear dormitory residents,

Happy Lunar New Year’s Day!

As you may know, there will be a 2015 Seollal (Lunar New Year) Holiday from february 18(WED) to February 20(FRI).

One of the biggest holidays in Korea, the Korean Lunar New Year or Seollal, is celebrated on January 1 of the lunar calendar. This year, Seollal falls on February 19 of the Gregorian calendar, and is celebrated for three consecutive days, from February 18 through February 20.

If you want to know more about Seollal, please refer to below link.

2. For those who are planning to visit Seoul or other cities during the hoilday period, You might want to consider adjusting your travel dates as bus and train tickets are hard to come by and highways are heavily congested. Traveling by a bus during the holiday can take over two to four times the normal travel time due to heavy traffic.

Please be aware of the above open schedule in advance to avoid any inconveniences.

Thank you

The Student Affairs Division
