Be a Buddy!
What’s the Buddy Program?
The Buddy Program pairs international students with Korean students on a one-to-one basis based on your interests, personality types, etc.
Through this exchange, we hope to allow international students the opportunity not only to receive guidance and support in adjusting to Korean community but also to build up a relationship with Korean friends. It will also provide a mutually beneficial experience for Korean students in acquainted with different cultures and enhancing their communication skills.
How to apply
Students interested in joining the Buddy Program for the 2016 spring semester need to apply through the school’s MIS System by Feb. 5th(Fri.). When the matching process is completed after the application period, results will be sent out via e-mail.
1. Visit, “mis.kdischool.ac.kr”
2. Click MIS under KDI School Service
3. Log on using your ID and password
4. Click Apply for Events on the left side, below Training/Event
5. Click the Query button
6. Go to [Networking] 2016 Spring Buddy Program and Click APPLY/MODIFY
7. The list of the events would show up.
(Click on the “[Networking] 2016 Spring Buddy Program” and “Save”)
8. For the confirmation, click on the Event Application result under the Training/Event
Application Deadline: Feb. 5th(Fri), 2016
* NOTE
● Student Affairs Division will match you with a Buddy according to your preferences.
● If there aren’t enough participants you might not have a buddy even though you apply for the program.
● KDI School will reimburse your buddy team for the expenses incurred during the buddy meetings at the maximum amount of KRW 20,000 per team.
● In the ‘Comments’ field, please write your preferences(personality, hobby, etc.) as much detail as possible
● In order to get reimbursed, the representative of each buddy team has to submit a buddy report with photo and “original receipts” attached by the end of the semester when the program period is ended. (We will notify you via e-mail.)
