KDIS-WB-CAG Policy Forum in China: Aging Society

October 17 to October 22, 2016, Beijing, People's Republic of China

In partnership with the World Bank and the Chinese Academy of Governance (CAG), Development Research Team at the KDI School of Public Policy and Management is pleased to announce “KDIS-WB-CAG Policy Forum in China” which will be held from October 17 to 22, 2016 in Beijing, PRC. KDIS-WB-CAG Policy Forum is an annual conference series that has been organized since 2011. The past editions of KDIS-WB-CAG Policy Forum have brought together hundreds of government officials, professionals, and students in policy discussions on emerging issues concerning both Korea and China. This year’s forum theme is "Aging Society". The forum aims to increase understanding of the aging-related issues and challenges faced by China and Korea, but also to discuss policy options available to decision-makers in various sectors of government. The themes explored during the course of the high-level policy forum will be based on research and country case studies and will be tailored to address the leading issues and challenges in both countries, as well as potential lessons from each country’s experience. Furthermore, site visit will be offered to provide a chance to interact with Chinese government officials and visit Chinese major policy institutions.

This is an opportunity offered only to the KDI School students. KDIS-WB-CAG Policy Forum in China will give an opportunity for KDIS students to participate in discussion and other interactive sessions and to enhance understanding of a variety of current aging-related issues and gain new perspectives thereby.

*CAG(Chinese Academy of Governance) is a ministerial-level institution directly affiliated with the State Council.
