Dear KDIS International Students,

 

I am pleased to announce the voluntary program called “KDIS-Sejong Talent Donation Volunteers”, which will be a cooperation between Sejong City and KDI School. With the advent of globalization, we are looking for KDIS students who are willing to give a brief introduction of their own country and serve as a teacher for a day in one of the elementary, middle or high schools in Sejong City. By sharing your talents, young people in Korea will grow up as global citizens who understand various cultures and lifestyles from different countries. If you are interested in the program, please refer to the details below:

· Geographical features of your country

· Cultural difference, food, etc.

· Your personal background

· What made you want to study abroad in Korea?

· Your employment background before studying in Korea

· Life in your home country, etc.

 

■ Expected Program Duration

· April ~ June

 

■ Benefits

· Certificate of Volunteer Work issued by Sejong City

 

■ Qualifications

· Open-mind and willingness to work with children or students

· Dedication and commitment to serve as an unofficial ambassador of your home country and KDI School

· Minimum level of communication skills in Korean (preferred)

· Please fill out the application form attached and send it to me at sj_yang@kdischool.ac.kr by Friday, March 23rd.

 

* Transportation will be provided.

 

Participating in this program will definitely be a great opportunity to not only introduce your country to young children in Korea, but to also play a pivotal role as an ambassador for your country!

 

Please keep in mind that your academic schedule will naturally take precedence over any volunteer responsibilities. The detailed schedule for the volunteer work will be developed later, so I am currently looking for candidates who would potentially be interested in participating in this exciting program.
