Hello!

 

This is Taesub, KDI nurse from the KDI Healthcare Room.

 

I would like to inform you that an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) is installed in the Dormitory Building 102. It is located right next to the main entrance.

 

AED is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. It's an easy-to-use medical device that can analyze the heart's rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm.

 

AED should be used for a person who is unconscious, unresponsive, not breathing and pulseless. AED must be used immediately during the CPR in order to give a shock to restore a normal heart rhythm.

 

Currently, there are total 2 AEDs in our campus. Please remember those 2 locations and use them in an emergency situation if necessary.

 

 

1. Right next to the Healthcare Room on the 2nd floor in the Common Building 

   (In front of the Coffee Lab Café)

 

 

2. Right next to the main entrance in the Dormitory Building 102 

   (4 languages available: Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese)

 

 

There will be an education session for how to perform CPR and use AED for students along with the Fire Escape Drill in the future. Please read the attached CPR & AED guidelines and AED locations.
