Dear KDIS International Students,

 

Spring is upon us, and now is a great time to take a look around your adopted home, Sejong City.

We are pleased to announce a volunteer program, “2019 KDIS-Sejong Talent Donation: One-day Teacher Volunteers,” which will be a joint effort between Sejong City and KDI School.

With the advent of globalization, this program aims to give lectures to young Korean students about your culture, and life at KDIS based on your talent and experience.

Participating in this program will definitely be a great opportunity to not only introduce your home country, but also to play a pivotal role as an ambassador for your country in a real Korean educational environment!

 

[Overview of the program]

1. Purpose: To share various cultures and lifestyles from other countries
2. Perform: Visit a public elementary, middle, or high school, and teach a class (in English).
3. Topics: Geography, Food, Lifestyle, Culture, Purpose of studying abroad, etc.
4. Expected Program Duration: · May ~ June

 

[Qualifications]

1. An open and global mind, along with a willingness to work with students
2. Dedication and commitment to serve as an unofficial ambassador of your home country and KDI School
3. A minimum level of communication skills in Korean (preferred)

 

[Benefits]

1. A Certificate of Volunteer Work issued by Sejong City
2. Benefits will be given to applicants of the “Summer Internships at City Hall”.
3. Provide free both round trip transportation

1. Deadline: Sunday, April 7^th
2. Submission: Please fill out the attached application form and send it to gh_joh@kdischool.ac.kr

 

[Note]

1. You must prioritize your academic schedule. You will not get an excused absence for participating.
2. You must respect the Korean public school code of conduct when visiting a school.
3. You must be punctual if your final lecture appointment is fixed.

 

A detailed schedule for the volunteer work will be updated later for selected applicants.
