The KDI School Home Visiting Program is designed to provide a special experience for all international and Korean students, faculty, and staff by spending quality time together during school vacation.

We have international students with diverse backgrounds, and it is great opportunity for Korean students and school members to learn about wide ranges of cultures and to provide ours.

 

◇How does it work?

 

◇Who can participate?

● Hosts: Korean Students (Alumni), Faculty and Staff of the KDI School & KDI 

● Guests: KDI School International Students

(We recommend Guests to visit one Host, and not more than two Hosts.)

(The maximum number of Guests each Host Family can accommodate is 4.)

 

Program Period: Aug 12 (Mon) ~ Sept 15 (Sun)

 * During the 5 weeks above, each team decides available dates for all of the team members

● Visiting period may be subject to change according to each host’s and guest’s schedule.

● Host families may choose an alternative date and time that is most convenient for them.

● Home visits for summer and winter break will be arranged and announced later.

◇How to apply? By Aug 7 (Wed)

1. Go to http://mis.kdischool.ac.kr/
2. Log in using your ID and password
3. Click Apply for Events on the left side, under Training/Event
4. Choose Networking for event type, and click the query button
5. Click [Networking] 2019 Summer Home Visiting Program
6. (If you are guest) Click the food menu that you prefer
7. (If you are host) Leave the following information in the Other Comments field:

• The number of guests to invite: (e.g. 2 or 4 people)
• How many days: (e.g. 1 day or 1 night 2 days)
• Places: (e.g. Seoul or Busan)
• Others: (e.g. preferred age, gender, country, occupation, food, religion, etc.)

1. Click the Save button.
2. For the confirmation, click on the Event Application Result under Training/Event.

 

◇Recommended Activities

● Provide overnight program with family members at home!

(It will be a special memory for international students.)

● A one day sightseeing nearby Sejong-city

● Travel around your hometown, etc.

 

◇Matching Result

● The results of matching application will be announced on Aug 9 (Fri) by email.

● If you cannot reach your host or guests, please let us know to help!

 

◇Notice

● If there aren’t enough participants then you may not have a host (or guests) even though you applied for the program.

● All participants are recommended to acquaint themselves with relevant information regarding mutual countries in advance.

● For hosts, please note that you have to submit a Home Visiting Program Activity Report (with photo) after the program.

● All participants should respect the school’s code of conduct as a member of the school during the entire program.dd
