Here is some information about the opportunity to participate in a great program. If you are interested, please take a look at the information below and sign up through the MIS webpage so we have your contact information available.

 

What’s the Buddy Program? 

The Buddy Program pairs international students with Korean students on a one-on-one basis based on your interests, personality types, etc. Through this exchange, we hope to allow international students the opportunity not only to receive guidance and support in adjusting to life in Korea, but also to build relationships with Korean friends. The program will also provide a mutually beneficial experience for Korean students through which they can get acquainted with different cultures while also enhancing their communication skills.

 

1. Application Process

Students interested in joining the Buddy Program for the 2019 Spring and Summer semester should apply through the school’s MIS System.

 

▶Application Period: Sept 6 (Fri.) ~ Sept 13 (Fri.)

 

After the application period, the matching process will take place, and results will be sent out via e-mail.

 

2. How to Apply

1. Go to http://mis.kdischool.ac.kr/

2. Log in using your ID and password

3. Click Apply for Events on the left side, under Training/Event

4. (Choose Networking for Event Type and click the Query button)

5. Click 2019 Fall Buddy Program.

6. Write your preferences in the 'Comments' field and click the Save button.

7. For the confirmation, click on the Event Application Result under Training/Event

 

3. Requirement for Buddy Program

Submit the report at the end of fall semester (with satisfaction survey form).

 

* NOTE  

-       In the ‘Comments’ field, please write your personal details and preferences (personality, hobbies, interests, language, age, gender etc.) in as much detail as possible.

-       The Student Affairs Division will try to match you with a Buddy according to your preferences.  

-       If there aren’t enough participants you might not be able to be matched or may be matched with more than two buddies.

-       If you join a field trip with your buddy, you can receive a 50% discount on the participation fee.

-       KDI School will reimburse your buddy team for any expenses incurred during buddy meetings up to the maximum amount of KRW 10,000 per person.

-       In order to get reimbursed, one of your buddies has to submit a Buddy Activity Report (attached file) with photos and “original receipts” attached at the end of the semester when the program period has ended(you will be notified.)
