Application for the 12th Euro-Asia Summer School  

 

The 12th Euro-Asia Summer School will be held from September 4th to 11th, 2020. KDI School is looking for qualified students who will take part in this exciting event. The aim of the Euro-Asia Summer School ‘The Sustainable Development Goals after the COVID pandemic. European and Asian Perspectives on Global Governance’, organized by the Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies (Belgium) in association with Hitotsubashi University (Japan), Seoul National University (South Korea), the KDI School of Public Policy and Management (South Korea) and the Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals (Spain), is to bring together talented students from Asia and Europe to study key aspects of global governance from comparative perspectives. This is a key opportunity for young talents to meet and interact and therefore to facilitate inter-cultural dialogues on global governance.

 

 PROGRAM DATE

4 September 2020 – 11 September 2020: Online
 

2. QUALIFICATIONS

- Completion of one terms at KDI School by the starting day of the program

- Students who complete their degrees or graduate within 2020 summer semester cannot apply

*A total of 10 students will be selected as the financial support recipients of 200 EUR (Participation Fee) per person.

 

 3. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

1) Application Form (see attached)

2) Statement of Purpose: within 2 pages (A4) typed in English

3) Resume

4) A copy of transcript

5) English proficiency certificate*

*Native English Speakers and students who completed their degree program in English are exempted from submitting an English proficiency certificate. In this case, you may alternatively submit certificates of medium of instruction.

 

 4. APPLICATION DEADLINE: 19th August, 2020 (Wednesday)

The application package should be submitted directly to the Planning Division email (planning@kdis.ac.kr).

KDI School will contact candidates individually with interview details after document review if necessary.

 

 5. COST

The participation fee for the program is EUR 200. In addition to the participation fee, a part of meals and other expenses will be supported from KDI School.

 

 6. NOTES:

- Any accident, diseases, and other issues that might arise during this summer program would be due to the participant’s own responsibility, of which expenses must be paid by him/herself.

- Students who successfully complete the requirements of this program will receive 2 credits, although they are not counted towards the 45-credit requirement for graduation.
