Temporary Leave during the 2021 Winter Vacation

Dear KDI School Students,

 

This is to inform you regarding the temporary leave during the upcoming 2021 winter vacation.

 

With South Korea’s new scheme of “living with COVID-19,” the quarantine requirement for travelers are eased to 14-day to 10-day. However, to ensure that campus life remains safe for students, faculty, and staff, KDIS will take a strictest stance against COVID-19. Please note that students coming back from a temporary leave will be allowed to check-in at the dormitory after 10 days* from the re-entry date.

*The quarantine measures differ from a passive monitoring to a 10-day quarantine depending on the place of departure and vaccination status. The measures may change according to the COVID-19 situation, and KDIS will take the strictest measures of the time.
 

Please note that all the cost incurring from the temporary leave including, but not limited to, the quarantine, PCR test, and transportation to and from the medical center for a PCR test, transportation to KDIS and COVID-19 Living Treatment Facility Center (if tested positive during the quarantine) will be borne by the student.

 

Due to the impact that such measures could have on students, KDIS School is advising all students not to travel abroad unless absolutely essential. If you have plans to travel, please consider whether it is really necessary.
 

▶Winter Break: December 12, 2021 ~ February 6, 2022

▶Application on MIS: November 6, 2021 ~ November 14, 2021

▶Compulsory documents to upload on MIS when applying:

  1. Round trip E-ticket

  2. Certificate of insurance (only for those travelling to a 3rd country, not to a home country)

  3. Application for Temporary Departure (only for NIIED student) (see the attached)

 

Before apply for temporary leave, please read the attached guideline carefully.
