Dear KDIS Students,

Since February, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, KDI School has been conducting disinfection work on the campus buildings and the dormitory by spraying of the disinfectant, along with disinfecting various surfaces such as door knobs and handrails which have been thoroughly wiped at least three times a day by the sanitary staff.

However, the World Health Organization and KCDC(Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) has advised against spraying disinfectants directly into the air or across broad spaces indoors to try to kill the virus as it may do more harm than good. On this basis, the school has decided to fully suspend the disinfection work scheduled for May in both the school building and the dormitory.

Nonetheless, in line with the Public Health Authority’s guidelines, disinfecting surfaces on the school buildings and communal spaces within the dormitory will be ongoing and done by the sanitary staff.

Additionally, disinfectant sprays will be provided for the students staying in the dormitory, so that you can frequently disinfect your rooms. More information about this will be sent to all students residing in the dormitory residents once it’s been checked and given the all clear.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Best regards,
